"Redfield's brother, Chris, is finally introduced in the human form of Wentworth Miller, best known for his role on television's "Prison Break". (For those unfamiliar with the canon, Chris was the main character in the first "Resident Evil" game, but has never made an appearance in a film until now.) Miller says, "It quickly became evident that there's a huge Chris Redfield fanbase out there, that's he's near and dear to a lot of people, and that there was kind of an appetite for his appearance in the movies..." Miller seems up for the challenge of portraying an iconic video game character, but is also careful to note that it'll be his Chris Redfield. "All I can do is bring my own specific Chris Redfield to the table. I can't give you want you want, I can only give you what I do."
However, Miller is quite grateful to hop on this runaway locomotive. "In certain respects I feel a little like a dinner guest who's gotten to the dinner party quite late, but that doesn't mean they haven't made a nice place for me at the table."

(Dla osób niemajacych pojęcia o RE dodam że Chris był główną postacią w pierwszej grze "Resident Evil", ale nigdy nie pojawił się w filmie). Miller mówi: "Szybko stało się oczywiste, że istnieje ogromna rzesza fanów Chrisa Redfielda, jest on bliski i drogi wielu ludziom, i że istnieje apetyt na jego pojawienie się w filmach ... " Miller podejmuje się wyzwania, jakim jest sportretowanie tejże ikony gier komputerowych, ale również ostrzega, że to będzie jego Chris Redfield. "Wszystko, co mogę zrobić, to pokazać wam mojego własnego, specyficznego Chrisa Redfielda. Nie mogę dać wam tego czego chcecie, mogę tylko dać to, co robię."
Jednak Miller jest bardzo wdzięczny za to, że mogł wskoczyć na tą pędzaca już lokomotywę. "Pod pewnymi względami czuję się trochę jak gość zaproszony na obiad, który dość mocno się spóznił, ale to nie znaczy, że nie przygotowano mu miłego miejsca przy stole"."

Premiera trailera RE juz w ten weekend!

Mamy dwie wiadomości, jedną dobrą drugą złą... Niedawno Milla ogłosiła na swoim Twitterze, ze premiera trailera RE będzie miała miejsce w ten weekend w San Francisco na Wondercon. Niestety pośród Milli, Paula Andersona i Ali Larter zabraknie Wenta aby odpowiedzieć na kilka pytań prasy :(

Wywiad z producentem najnowszego filmu Wentwortha Millera "The Mourning Portrait"

Oto ekskluzywny wywiad dla Wentworth Miller Hot Line z jednym z producentów filmu “The Mourning Portrait” Stephenem M. Corbinem.

WMTHL: Gdzie będziecie kręcić?
Stephen Corbin: Film będzie kręcony w górach w zachodniej części Karoliny Północnej. Planujemy zacząć najszybciej jak to możliwe, data nie została jeszcze ustalona. Mnóstwo szczegółów musi zostać dopracowane zanim dojdzie do rozpoczęcia zdjęć.

WMTHL: Czy zrobiliście jakieś rozpoznanie w sprawie kostiumów? Korzystacie z filmów, książek, muzeów?
Stephen Corbin: Akcja filmu dzieje się w ok.1920 roku w Apallachach. Przeprowadziliśmy wiele badań aby wszystko było tak autentyczne jak to możliwe. Jesteśmy bardzo dumni tego, że jedni z najbardziej utalentowanych fachowców w Motion Picture Industryzostali przydzieleni do naszego projektu.

WMTHL: Będzie to wielka czy mała ekipa?
Stephen Corbin: Wentworth Miller odgrywa istotną rolę w naszym filmie i cieszymy się, że ktoś z wielkim talentem jest częścią naszego zespołu.
Jak wiecie mamy też swietną Dianę Ladd ( "Chinatown", "Wild at Heart") i Melissę Leo ( "Frozen River", "Everybody's Fine") i Garret Dillahunt ( "No Country for Old Men", "'The Assassination Of Jesse James By the coward Robert Ford"). Udało nam się zebrać wspaniałą obsadę.

WMTHL: Będziecie używać 35mm Panavision, HD typu Red-one czy może kamery Genesis?
Stephen Corbin: Film będzie kręcony 35mm Panavision lub jej odpowiednikiem.

WMTHL: Czy w filmie znajdą się efekty kaskaderskie, które będą wymagały dublera dla Wentwortha Millera?
Stephen Corbin: Będą kaskaderzy - o ile zajdzie taka potrzeba dla pana Millera i innych.

WMTHL: Jak długo będziecie kręcić?
Stephen Corbin: Potrwa to ok. 30 dni w terenie i na planie.

WMTHL: Czy będą jakieś efekty wizualne, make-up'owe?
Stephen Corbin: Będzie trochę MUFX (make-up effects) ale nie mogę podać szczegółów.

WMTHL: Będzie to film kinowy czy może telewizyjny? Macie nadzieję na jego ukazanie się jego się poza granicami USA?
Stephen Corbin: Jest to niezależny film fabularny, a nie film telewizyjny. Będzie dostępny tutaj w Stanach Zjednoczonych, a także w wielu innych krajach, mam nadzieję w ciągu roku od jego ukończenia.

WMTHL: Where will you be shooting ?
Stephen Corbin: The film will be shot on location in and around the Mountains of Western North Carolina.The plan now is to shoot the film as soon as is practical for us (although a firm date has not been decided as of this writing). As you can appreciate there are a multitude of careful detail's and planning that need to be worked out in advance before beginning principle photography.

WMTHL: Have you done some research for the costumes ? What are you going on, movies, books, museums ?
Stephen Corbin: It is a period piece to it's bones. Circa 1920 Appalachia and much research has and is being done to make it as authentic as possible. We are very proud to say that we have some of the best craftsperson's and talent in the Motion Picture Industry working today, attached to our film.

WMTHL: Will you be a huge or a small team ?
Stephen Corbin: Make no mistake, Wentworth Miller is playing a significant role in our movie and as such we are so glad to have someone of his great talent as part of our ensemble of great actor's.
As you know we also have the great Diane Ladd ('Chinatown', 'Wild At Heart') and Melissa Leo ('Frozen River', 'Everybody's Fine') and Garret Dillahunt ('No Country For Old Men', 'The Assassination Of Jesse James By the coward Robert Ford') playing the principle roles, with more yet to be announced. We have assembled an amazing Cast thus far.

WMTHL: Will you be using 35mm scope Panavision, HD type Red-one or Genesis cameras ?
Stephen Corbin: The film will be shot on 35mm Panavision or equivalent, using several camera's.

WMTHL: Will there be some stunts that will need double for Mr. Wentworth Miller ?
Stephen Corbin: There will be stunt doubles as needed for Mr. Miller & others.

WMTHL: How long will the shooting last ?
Stephen Corbin: The shooting will last approx. 30 days on location & on Stage as required.

WMTHL: Will there be some numeral or makeup visual effects?
Stephen Corbin: There will be some special MUFX used, although I cannot elaborate on what type.

WMTHL: Will it be a theater movie or a TV-movie? Do you hope to have it released outside the USA ?
Stephen Corbin: This is an independent feature film, not a TV movie. The film will be available here in the States and also in many foreign Countries, hopefully within a year upon it's completion.
